Environment Friendly Technology

Although a large part of technology advancement is concerned with the commerce possibilities of the Internet and increased connection between people, there is also a movement to see how new and emerging technologies can be used in an environmentally friendly manner. Often given the label of being "green," these new technologies are looking for ways to increase the benefits of modern advancements without causing any negative issues with their effects on nature and health. Perhaps the biggest current arena of green technology is found in the push for renewable energy sources. Many companies are designing more efficient ways to harness this energy and make it more affordable for corporations as well as individual users. Better solar panels, wind farms, and industrial filtration units are only a few examples of the new green technologies that could provide a lesser dependency on natural resources that cannot be renewed. In addition to energy, there are also environmentally friendly ideas being explored that relate to the health of a person. The current computers that are being developed are paying more attention to the health problems that come with extended use. With more people using computers for longer hours at a time, it is important to have keyboards that will provide adequate support for the hands and wrists as well as monitors that do not cause sight issues. These and other health concerns are a large focus of green experts that wish to counteract the problems associated with computer use. In transport, the newest technology is developing cars that are capable of using renewable energy sources and do not require a human driver. The idea is that these new cars will be much more safe when the human factor is taken out of the equation. Built using different sensors and positioning technology, the cars will be less likely to be involved in an accident, thus giving greater protection to the passengers.
